Vanishing Point (Revised) Now Available!

The new revised edition of our beloved old madness-inducing monster is now available for the first time in PDF format, and will shortly be available in printed form too. Those of you who purchased the original hardback version of the game (thank you!) will be happy to know that the revisions are minor and easily accommodated, while those of you who didn't will be happy to know that the new version will be significantly cheaper than the limited edition hardback previously available. Look out for the printed version sometime in December!

Myriad System Review

Well, the Myriad system has been available over the net for free now for several months and is receiving some much-appreciated and complimentary attention . Already it's clocked up more than 300 downloads (and that's just counting Lulu). In appreciation of those who have been kind enough to give feedback on the game, we have now produced a special extended edition that is available exclusively in printed format! There's tons of extra material - so much that the book is twice as long as the free PDF version - and you can find more details over on the Products page along with links to both the free version and the new extended one. There is also an independent review of the original free Myriad PDF over on RPG Net at the following link.

Sane Studios was formed for one simple reason: we want to make RPG gamers happy. We want to produce games that are interesting, different and fun to play. But above all, we want to insert a little more variety and innovation into the hobby. How many times have you opened up a role-playing book and thought “Oh no, not elves, dwarves and orcs again”? There are a lot of arguments for using creatures based on existing myth and literature repeatedly, the most common being “gamers can relate to them.” It seems that a great many RPG creators are wary of straying too far from tried-and-tested formulae, and often with sound financial reasons. But what about the people who want to try something different? That’s where we come in.

Sane Studios are here to have fun, and hopefully to help other people have fun too, not to make huge amounts of money. We are also committed to producing quality products that look good and play well. Because we are unbound by the need to make cash, we can really let rip with the creativity too. That’s why we are striving to bring you the best in Role Playing from the far side of the imagination. Some will probably call us mad. But we’re Sane. It says so right there at the top of the page.
